Thanks Richard! Just posted a Pic of Daughter Valerie welcoming home her husband 1st Lt. Kelsey Gibson after a year in Afghanistan. She has just recently graduated from TBS as a 2nd Lt. and now stationed at Camp Pendleton with her husband!
Brad -- With your dad's newest wings he'll really be able to watch over his two grandchildren in the service! May God console you and the rest of his family here on earth.
My dad made his "final flight home" today to be with the Lord. Pic was just uploaded. Was a 2nd Lt. in the USAF and got to fly the first fighter jets, the F80 shooting star. Both grandchildren AWR2 Rescue Swimmer Garrett Krygier and 2nd Lt. Marine Valerie Gibson will miss him too!
This is my middle son being awarded JSOQ 7th Fleet Staff, kinda proud!
That's fantastic, Brad. As a former Marine with one current Navy son, an Air Force daughter and another son two weeks away from his own PIR, I got a little emotional reading your post. Grats!
It is with great joy that I can now announce that my son Garrett, having served out in Japan with HS-14 for almost 4 years and is coming to the end of his 6 year commitment, has re-enlisted for 4 more years and has accepted orders to return in February as a RSS instructor! The student now becomes the teacher, and the best part for us is he comes back home to Florida! While Pensacola is many hours from Orlando, we are happy to make that drive! It gets better, as he is coming home Monday so he can travel with family to Quantico, VA to attend his sister's graduation from the US Marines Officer Candidates School as a 2nd Lt. and to have the honor in the ceremony of the first enlisted to salute her on Friday Dec 14. What a wonderful December to remember in our family. I hope that you all enjoy the Christmas season this year.
One son is going through nuke power school in Goose Creek. My daughter is learning Farsi in the Air Force. My youngest son ships to GL today to begin boot camp. He enlisted for AECF.
@ Chuck, Brian is in VP-30
Maybe Tom what squadron is Brian in?
