any news from your SR's? Cory was to have his wisdom teeth pulled this week. I took my youngest son to recruiter this week. Looks like Ill be doing this all over again in 6-8 months. He is interested in SWCC. Hope to get another phone call today from SR Harrison!

Sean is my son. Glad to hear about him from you. We didn't get a call but his girlfriend did. I'm sure we are in line to get a call next time. Thanks for sharing. I hope Sean isn't the reason they are doing push-ups! Hope to meet you on10/18!

Got phone call from Cory on Saturday. Sounded tired but in good spirits. He says the food is good! I believe he said Sean Smith is his bunkmate. They are doing lots of push ups!

Joel-yes we made reservations at the Ramada in Waukegan.  It has a shuttle to Great Lakes for PIR (as I am sure all nearby hotels do).

So far I've made flight arrangements. Have you looked into rooms and shuttles? I do not plan on renting a vehicle.

Hi Joel!  You should also check out the forum:  PIR 10/18/2013 for all Sailors with that PIR date; some good information in that forum. So far we have only received the "I'm here" call from our son. A real call and letters from him should probably be coming in the next week or two.

I myself was not in the military, so much of this (boot camp, etc) is pretty new to me, but I am truly proud of his decision to serve his country in the USN!
