Hello Group! I'm new to the group and just wanted to check it out. My son is a CTI2, stationed in Augusta. He just hit 3 years in the past December 1.

Yes it will Carri....Starting to get my boy used to a schedule at home and paying close attention to detail. It will be fun watching the changes he will go through.

Welcome Tim,

We're originally from Wilkes County but have been in Pierce Co. for the last 14 years. April will be here before you know it.

Had a great 5 day visit from my son for Christmas. Then back to Great Lakes for prep, then to Panama City for dive school. What a climate change.

New to this group...Hello all. Getting ready to send a Son to Boot Camp in April. He will be third generation Navy. I am proud he will carry on the tradition. Look forward to catching some updates and advice from you all on the "best way" to do things....ie. trip to Great Lakes. Its been a long time since I was in and things have changed. Regards....

Steven is ship 12 DIV 080. Anyone have a child from Georgia in that DIV?

Got a call from Steven on Friday after Christmas!!! Good thing too, I had just gotten a letter on thursday telling me he had gotten hurt. He had 2 wisdom teeth cut out on the Friday before Christmas and apparently he had forgotten that he dosent tolerate pain meds very well. He passed out that evening in the chow line and cut his head open receiving 11 staples!!! Good news is that he isnt being recycled or held back. By the time of the call staples had been removed and he was good to go. Call could not have been at a better time for me. I did talk to his girlfriend and found out that when he tried to call her she was at work and didnt get the call.
