Gary, Cody says the rumors are still that frocking will be on their next short underway. He said no one really seems to know exactly, but previous frocking ceremonies on the Bush were done at sea.

Bill, Nick called and they had the frocking ceremony yesterday (Wednesday). Nick said the Captain was supposed to have the ceremony on Monday but was delayed until yesterday. He didn't know about the pay grade taking effect. I would assume it would be 13 Jan 2011 which is his enlistment anniversary. (6 months in grade as E-3). Ken did Cody have his ceremony yet?

Thanks for the in formation Bill. Ken, I am so happy for Cody. New responsibilities I am sure but I do believe they will all handle them well.

Gary, Cody just texted me and said he got his GM3 this morning as well. I'm so excited for him and all the other sailors getting promoted today. He thinks the frocking will be on their last underway this year.

Hi Gary, congats to Nick! Now it's a waiting game for the frocking and even longer for the pay to become affective! Brett got his official papers on Jan. 11th 2010 after testing Sept. 2009. His pay grade didn't go into effect until June 2010. The Navy sure does take it's good ol time! Hope you and yours have a great holiday. Please, keep in touch. I will update you soon. TTYL Bill

Glen, just got the word today, Nick has been promoted to GM3 (E4). He doesn't know when he will have the official frocking but thinks it will be when they put out to sea.

Hello Glen! It sure has been awhile. My son is enjoying Hawaii. He had plans to come home for Christmas but decided against it. He could only get ten days off. Couple that with airfare and it wouldn't be worth it. He has over thirty days leave to burn. Maybe in the spring or summer.

Haven't been on here in quite awhile....looks like you guys haven't either! How are all our Sailors doing? Mine's in Portsmouth NH between deployments - we'll have him home for Thanksgiving...and we hope for Christmas too.
