Correction: "C" school can last from 5 weeks to 3 months (average).

Jeje, i believed that there is an unhappy brother.  My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed in bootcamp and stayed on sickbay for a day and another two days with a lot of pain, but continue with regular training.  They are strong and blessed children.  They will be just fine!  Hey thanks for keeping in touch with us.  I try to check in as often as possible, I'm going to try daily if I can.

Hi Jim,

The plan for now is for Sean to finish his active duty, then go back to school to earn a degree. He might then go back on active duty if the Navy lets him. I did not serve in the military, so we don't know what the Navy allows. All we do know is that he likes it, feels like he is in good company, and is enjoying being a part of something big.

Hello Gil,

Sean's thing started as a cut on one of his toes that would not heal. Pretty soon, he's in sickbay getting a toenail removed. You might be amused to know that he mailed the offending toenail home to his younger brother as a gift.

 

I think he'll do just fine.

Hi Barry, to be honest I was a little dissapointed when Mike enlisted. He dropped out of college to join. I wish he would have finished college, then joined. But now I am glad he did. My only wish is that he go back to school and finishes his degree.

Barry, nice to hear that you spoke to your son today, sometimes they get sick, specially with the changes of temperature.  I hope that he have a quick recover.  I'm sure that he like it..One thing that I remember from my days in bootcamp is that I hated during the day because it was non stop, but at night I remembered thinking of how much I accoplished that day and felt very good about it.   As Jim was telling you C school is at the same base.  Graduation from "A' school is like for 45 minutes and then they report for their "C " school.  Depending on what job they get assigned to, "C" school maybe from 5 weeks to 6 months..all depends.

Good to know he'll be in one spot for a while. We received the "three week" phone call from Sean at Boot Camp today. He's recently been sick and in the hospital for two days allowing an injury to heal, and has a cold right now. In spite of the trials he's going through, he is very quick to say that he's 100% sure he made the right decision enlisting in the Navy. In fact, I actually think he likes boot camp.

Barry, if he is IS then Dam Neck will be his C school too. Only seventeen, WOW. The day I turned seventeen I enlisted. A month later I was in basic training. But that was a loonnngggg time ago.
