Additional pics are up. I enjoyed my visit in Tokyo. These pics are from his visits during his first time on tour from Japan to Australia, Singapore and Manilia and back. I will post the remaining pics in about a week from a special party with the AW/Rescue Swimmers at Atsugi Airstation while I was there.

Arrived in Japan to see Garrett. Initial 3 pics are up. Hope to send more later if the rain stops and we can go sightseeing! It is great to be here!

Great day - we finally finished our book. Check it out at www.peopleplus.biz And now I can check out the Navy Dads more often. Our son just made Officer and will be heading to OCS in a few weeks. Go Pack. Hope all of you are having a good day too. Bruce

Mark, I will certainly try. Not sure what all Garrett has in store for showing me around, but I will ask. It would be an honor to carry a message from a proud father to a deserving son serving us all that his dad sends his love and best wishes. If he doesn't already know, I will be sure to tell him how proud of him you are.

Well, it is time to leave for Japan in the very early morning tomorrow. What an exciting opportunity to see the US Naval Airstation in Atsugi and probably the Yokosuka port where the USS George Washington is for myself, and also learn where Garrett spends his time while in home port. Of course the best part is to give him a hug, and let him show me his world. I look forward to reporting back what it is like and sharing those pictures when I can.

One more comment - it has been a joy to talk to other Navy Dads and redirect the worry and thoughts that are with us constantly. I have been a Navy Dad for 7 years now. I have had one son in the Middle East and serving overseas for 3 years of that time. Another underwater whereabouts unknown. My wife and I are truly enjoying the laughter. Thanks to all Go Navy Dads!!

Passions run high, but they never run higher than when we speak of how proud we are of our sailors committed to protecting the land they love and all of us who live here. Regardless of where we are from, this country's greatness is our willingness to fight for the our freedoms, and we bind together as one. I am proud of each of the sailors and there parents within this group who have made the commitment, and are working so far away from home to carry out their mission. Bravo to all you Japan Dads and Moms for raising the quality of kids to be doing the tough work abroad!
