such sad news

Part of an Official e-mail
At approximately 1840 Saturday evening, Airman Apprentice .....fell from the flight deck of USS GEORGE WASHINGTON, landing on a Chinese vessel that was moored alongside. Medical personnel responded to the scene and found him unresponsive to life saving measures. This has been a tough loss for the DIAMONDBACKS, but we are coping well at the moment. It will still take a good deal of time to get through the grieving process and finally come to terms with this tragedy. He is sorely missed.

we've been using skype for the past 3 yrs. it's great, when allowed and available, but since it cost Nothing why not?  my daughter also has a local phone number thru skype, i don't know how much she pays for it. but now she's in the states I can go verizon to verizon and she can use her skype number for her military friends.  keeping skype so we can "see" her once in awhile. and she can see nephew and niece grow up!!  and dont' forget the dog!  LOL  and I get to see her apartment and meet her friends and "see" how she is Really doing!  Love it!

Alan, I just seen your post, I am still in Sasebo. I sure hope he arrived here ok.   My son is on the USS Germantown, and I am here another week. Each ship usually has a facebook page. I have found that if you comment on them, you usually get a response and sent to the right people.
