From a proud Navy dad to all Dads HAPPY FATHERS DAY Hooya !
Theresa Prayers going up for your son's hearing.
Thank you and Yes, it's a wonderful feeling! and I don't even mind sharing her this time. lol I will be going with her to DC for 10 days to house hunt..... After having her in the ME for 2 + yrs. and then Japan for over 2, I'm glad to have her soo close to home.
My sailor is back in port, but working even harder he says! That is good - keeps his mind off his recent hearing test. Seems he has lost a lot of hearing in one ear. Yes, we are anxious to hear what the second specialist has to say - and what the Navy says/does. Fishdad - my prayers are with your son, too! Bondie - congrats on having your daughter home. I am sure that is the best feeling ever!
Congrads John!
hope everyone had a nice Memorial weekend. My daughter/sailor Finally made it home!! after 5 years she's stateside! for the next 3 years and 19 days. I'm so Happy and excited.
Mark, she went into Boot camp with a BA and came out an E 3. She also placed in the top 10% of her A school, she's a DCFN. So I'm not that surprised.
Just heard from my daughter that she got promoted to Petty Officer 3rd! Not bad for under a year in.
Mark...our Sailor called Tuesday night via Skype to introduce to his FIANCEE! Yes, very surprised momma and daddy here!
Also, he has an appointment on June 4th which will determine if the Navy has decided to push for a medical discharge. He'd really like to finish his commitment. Please keep him in your prayers.
Happy Memorial Day everyone!
