Yeah!!! can you post the picture here? would love to see it!
Finally got pics of son getting pinned 2nd class! First time Dad has seen the rack of ribbons and both sets of wings on him. Pining was at Atsugi Naval Air Base in Japan where he has been stationed since Feb 2009.
Hey there Robin. My son did tell me that they are friends and do spend some time together. They share the unfortunate health issues and you are correct, it is great to have someone else to talk to that is in the same situation. Hoping everything is great with you and yours and as always, saying prayers to keep the boys safe.
if you get to Japan, you have to visit the Peace Memorial......wonderful, beautiful colors and cranes!
P.s. Love the pic of Capt. Owen..he's such an affable guy!
Brandon,
Good to hear from you. We got to meet your son via Skype one day while we were talking with our son. We're keeping him in our prayers. He and our son are pretty much going through the same thing. It's good to know that they're not alone on the journey.
Our son also let us know about the quakes, which was good as they had news about them on Fox and it may have concerned us if he hadn't. We had a few friends tell us that they were just unnerving because they were so close to the anniversary of last years big one. We're so thankful that things calmed down quickly.
Hope this finds all of you and your Sailors well.
Happy St. Paddy's!
