Sorry to hear that news Fishdad. i thought he was on the road to recovery and now this. I'll bet he will never forget this past year. Hang in there and know that he is in our prayers.
Rich
Fishdad, Heath will definitely remain in my prayers. I am so sorry he has to go through all this. I do understand how weary he is.
We need your prayers again. They called an ambulance and had Heath taken to the hospital again. Severe abdominal pain. He has a bowel obstruction. They think they may have caught it early enough. They have inserted a tube to try to help with it. If it doesn't work, he'll need yet another surgery. Please pray for him. He is getting so weary. Thanks.
Fair winds and following seas...
TCOR was just cancelled and the base in Yokosuka has an all clear. Lot's of wind and some downed trees but all seems to be well from what I'm reading.
Welcome John, I also have a daughter serving in Japan.
talked to my daughter yesterday, they've been on alert for days, but they are jsut getting the back lash....no orders to return to base, so she's not worried, she's in Yokosuka. (well her base is, she lives in another town).
Ed, a Tequila night and a big blow what a night!
My son called an hour ago, they were sent to their quarters. He says it is currently like a wind storm we would have here at home. They are eating tacos and having margaritas. They have been ordered to stay put for 12 hours.
@Fishdad-I reached out to my son and he had not heard anything as of yet. It is "crazy" season over there right now with regards to weather.
@John- Welcome to the family. Best wishes to you and your family and of course your daughter.
Has anyone heard anything about this typhoon coming in that has caused evacuations around Tokyo due to flooding?
Best of luck and safe seas to all the sailors and families of those aboard the USS GW.
