My daughter is officially our of the Navy. My Son-in-law is still in and planning on being a lifer. She is pregnant and having many difficulties. we are leaving Friday, can't wait to see and HUG her. This Navy Mom has been miserable being 12 hours away, How did I ever survive 5 years over seas? She wasn't pregnant and hurting! With NavyforMoms being down I have no one to talk to that "gets" it. Thanks for letting me stress here :)
I have a sailor heading to Iwakuni soon....any info from anyone on the area?
Prayers Owen, It's always a little scary and exciting when they move to a new command. My Prayers go with him. My daughter never said much about her time over there. She was in N/S Korea for a short period, all I heard was "I've been where only 2% of our Military has ever been." She did bring back a few keep sakes.
Have you seen him lately?
Congrats Roger
Ken, I know it is tough when they leave, but our sailor comes home from Yokosuka from on Tuesday. Only 9 days of leave, but Mom and I are high as kites. Merry Christmas to all.
Ken, we all know what you mean. Tears of Pride and Joy! Bless your family and may the angles watch over his travels.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Blondie, thank you for your comments. I really appreciate your input. My son is in the air flying to Japan as I write this. We spoke with him just before he boarded the plane in Seattle. He will call or text us when he arrives and has time to get his bearings. I am eager to hear all the details he's able to share with me. Those of you who have gone through this yourselves will appreciate my curiosity. Best regards to you and all the members of the Japan group.
