My son said all ok. As a rescue swimmer, they are on alert now to help if asked by Japan. We pray that their training can be used to assist those in need.

William,

I am thinking of you and your son especially considering that he was in transition to Japan. Praying for his safety and for your peace of mind. Please let us know when you have heard from him.

Godspeed to him.

Spoke to my son in Yokosuka. They are all on lock down but so far all is well. Aftershocks continue to exist. Prayers go out to all our loved ones over there.

Heard from my sailor in Atsugi and he told me that they felt it...seems that they were outside having a BBQ or something. My wife asked him to stand down on the brewskis to stay frosty in case there was issues in the near future...

again- from the GW FB page:

According to FOX News, they state that all U.S. military in Japan have been accounted for and there have been no injuries or damage to any installations here. Again, that's according to FOX News, not any official military spokesperson.

This has been terrible to sit and watch overnight. We've been in touch with our son often throughout the night. They've felt aftershocks & have watched the water levels change but nothing significant in Yokosuka at this point.

My son stationed in yokosuko says that they are all right and they will be getting underway on Monday.
