Nice to see the GW is back in Japan. Hopefully N.Korea will behave and the ship will stay in port for the holidays...

Extremely proud of the USS GW and it's family of ships that have returned to Yoko for a well deserved break. This was my son's first full deployment, having been out since May and he has really grown up, you can see the difference. He is focused and mature and continues to make the right decisions in his life. Our thanks for keeping all our sailors safe and sound. Happy Holidays to all.

Yep. That's the address that I had. But the ombudsman said that it was incorrect. I just contacted the public relations officer onboard to verify it and he said it was,indeed, correct. And yes, I know about FPO and AP and all that. We mailed out 35 APO FPO boxes today. The only problem address we had, ironically, was our sons. Thanks for your help Paul.

BTW: FPO means Fleet Post Office, AP means Armed Forces Pacific

Contacted the ombudsman on the Lassen and they couldn't give me the information for security reasons. They did at least verify that part of what I had was wrong. I just need the correct zip code. Anyone out there have the zip? Other zips were listed online, but not the Lassens.
