Cora, let us know when you hear about the advancement results. Last time you helped us all find out. Garrett is hoping he did well enough to get Petty Officer 2nd class.

That's great Cora! I am sure that Brooklyn is so excited to be coming state side. We just got off the phone with Mike as well. He is doing great and is enjoying his port time in Yoko. He's got some testing coming up so he is polishing up in between work and watch. Please give our best to Brooklyn and the same to you and yours.

Oh man, yeah I hear they are waiting on an impending typhoon scheduled to hit their are on Friday. Shame it has to spoil a well deserved homecoming. Well all we can do is say our prayers for them for a safe return. God speed to all our sailors and loved ones.

Great news! Garrett passed his TSO boards on the GW! This is the final big qual for rescue swimmers to be responsible for everything in the SH-60 behind the cockpit.

James is going to the USS John McCain. He is very excited and now we are trying to learn all we can about everything. He worked very hard to be in position to pick first and hoped for Japan orders in the choices and there they were. We all can't wait now but hate his being so far away. We are now looking to go there next year.

Congrats to your son Larry. My son graduated A-School last Xmas and is based out of Yokosuka Japan aboard the USS GW. It is has been a very interesting year for him, full of trials and tribulations that we would have never imagined for him. Trust me, it ain't all fun and games, and he is finding out allot about himself through his experiences. He is a different kid already and remains focused and determined. I wish you all the pride and good things for your son and welcome to the family!
