It really depends onthe situation. My daughter is only in a year but she will be home December 20th til January 2nd. But her squadron is returning to Lemoore for training that she already completed during C-school so I imagine that is the only reason why, otherwise she would be back in Lemoore waiting.

Doesn't look like my son will be able to come home (leave) for Xmas this year. I didn't really get an explanation why. Is their some type of seniority system for leave on the holidays ?

Well, Garrett transfered onto the GW from the Cowpens during their port in Thailand. He hopes to complete his "boards" for 3rd level ASW/ASWC (the old TSO qual) and his final checkout flight. Hopefully he gets it done before they get back to Japan!

Yes Cora, the cruise is for one day. I lost my job for the second time in two years and have been out of work now for 10 weeks. I am in the same position. I was just looking into it because I miss him so much and want to see him.
My son offered to pay for my ticket as well David and I refused. I will not take his money, he works too hard for that.

i am blessed with allen , he is the only reason i can go to japan.
he is the one who paid for the ticket.
i cryed when i read the e-mail when he asked me to go.

Spoke with my son yesterday as well. he sounded fantastic and obviously enjoyed Thailand after a long time on the water. Actually thinking about surprising him and going to the Friends & Family Cruise in November in Yokosuka. Anyone know anything about the cruise? Anyone else thinking about going?
