Thanks Cora - I will let you know more once she's stateside. And we appreciate your prayer. I try and look at this as an opportunity instead of an issue, but Lee doesn't want to leave her command and I understand that too...Thanks to Brandon also - God Speed to us all!

Cora, so glad to hear your daughter is doing better. We too finally got a positive report from our son as his last few months have been tough. From those I speak to, every sailor goes through their "trials" and they eventually adapt. I hope it will continue for them as it makes our night's that much easier. I still don't understand why your packages aren't getting there? We send one every three weeks and they always arrive on time, with no problems? Check your process again, maybe the address, the packaging?

Kinda of a bad news break - My sailor Lee has been battling severe headaches the last few months aboard the Tortuga. She was hospitalized at Iwo Jima, now they are shipping her out of Japan and back to San Diego for further medical assistance. Just got a call from her - she will land in San Diego tomorrow afternoon. One part of me is kind of happy she will be back State side, the other feels for her - because she loved Japan so much, and it was her high school dream. Does anyone know how this returning process works and what we can expect next?

Hey Cora, we just got an email from our son this morning. Seems that there is either something wrong with the internet aboard the GW or they are shutting it down periodically for security reasons. Hope all is great with Brooklyn.

My son was able to book rooms for us, I don't know if a parent can do it direct. He needed passport and similar info to get us on base.

I used to work DOD civilian on the JFK, Saratoga, and Forrestal at NS Mayport, FL and I thought THEY were huge. I can just imagine a Nimitz Class. Hell I got lost on those oldie but goodie one's - lol!
