While the news of the Reagan and her sailors who have become sick (supposedly) from their being in Nippon during the whole EQ/Tsunami thing is not good... 20 or more have been diagnosed recently with blood cancer (leukemia)
How is this?
They were not there from the outset...
Is there something that the media is not picking up on? I mean my My guy is back at home (re enlisted a few weeks ago) until later this year and he has not heard about anyone from the GW being sick... What gives...?
Am I reading too much into this?
Again, the Reagan was not there from the beginning and the GW and her group were. Has anyone heard anything along these lines?
(belated) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to y'all
Mine just sent a picture of them enjoying a break from the action at the officers club in Busan, ROK. He looked very happy! I understand (through my other sources) they are now conducting joint exercises that has the micro-megalomaniac to the north not too pleased.
Going on 5 years since I've seen him and as of this month, he's been in 11 years.
Our daughter also has been back in the States for awhile, she works at the Pentagon. We still have an adopted daughter and a new SIL in Japan. Just got back from their wedding in Chicago at the Hard Rock Hotel. Had a blast! And many more close to our hearts that we meat through our daughter and adopted daughter.
My sailor has settled in nicely in Sasebo. She is the physical therapist there and says she is happy to be a part of the medical service corps. I know she enjoys working with her shipmates to keep them healthy and fit. Our prayers are with her and all who serve!
Been nice following this group, my son has been transferred from the GW to an air wing closer to the mainland. Prayers and safe sailing to all who still deployed in Japan including some of my sons good freinds.
I made a rather lengthy post here: http://www.navydads.com/forum/topics/tips-for-being-stationed-in-yo...
I'm looking for some advice and any help would be appreciated...thanks!
