the postal service only handles those packages as far as the fleet post office (FPO) which is in San Francisco. With all the cutbacks I'm sure they have felt the loss of personnel as well.....not making excuses here, just trying to rationalize what may be goin on.

Hey Cora, my son was going through the same thing for their first deployment. His job was draining him and he wasn't used to the lack of sleep. It took a while for him to refocus and now although he still isn't necessarily pleased with 15 hour day's he's finding his way. We send him packages as well of things that remind him of home, things he likes and could not possibly get there and we try to send them every few weeks so that he has something steady to look forward to. They absolutely feed off of our emotions and I guarantee that your daughter can tell that your "feeling like crap". Pick it up and let her feel your pride, let her know that although you feel her pain, you know she is on track to accomplish good things. Keep her positive....we're all in this together.

Wow, what a great picture of the GW! You might be right Jim, this one might make a great wallpaper.

Tokyo has forever been a destination for the rich. Outside of electronics, there is nothing unique. Go David! Gotta love Macy's.Com!

I find it amazing that no matter how many times people are told, they continue to violate not just their own sailor but everyone else's by giving out information that is clearly putting them in danger. C'mon folks, we re all family, let's keep our loved ones safe and play the game as it should be....

I agree Cora - I have also seen these violations on the facebook pages of our various ships. Everybody just stop & think before we write or print - its easy to make this mistake being a parent & getting excited. But we must do this for protection of the fleet.
