Brooklyn will be fine, you just take care of yourself 1st. Brook having it rough will prepare her for life ahead as we all know it, and make her a better person for dealing with the stresses...

Went through the same thing with my son. He just hit his one year anniversary in Japan and said he doesn't regret joining the Navy or being assigned to a ship based in Japan at all. He's adjusted, doing his job, feeling well trained, a part of something important and enjoying the Far East.

One of the things I learned very quickly was Kevin's moods changed depending upon what was going on. One day he loved it and the next day...not so much. The worst was while he was cranking in the galley. I thought that would never end! I never heard him moan and groan so much since he was born...he hated it. But, everyone has to do it so don't be surprised if your sailors give you different vibes especially durng the first year.

yes brian i think he is getting adjusted not sure with him he gives you differant vibes everytime he calls but he will get used to it.

Yeah Rick we go a skype call this morning from our sailor Lee. She is doing good & getting adjusted to ship life - she likes it (so far!!!)

Thanks to Cora we checked out the promotion list on Friday. We were hoping, but not expecting, to find Nick's name on the list but didn't. He called from Japan last night. He did make it. I was looking on the MM2 list, but he is actually an MMN2. And just like Lee's son Kevin, yes he was very excited by the promotion. It came almost 2 years to the day from his reporting to GL for boot camp. Congrats to all the Sailors, we're thinking of you always, but especially this weekend.

Cora, thanks for the link to the promotion link! It was nice to see Kevin's name on there, although he called me as soon as the list was posted...LOL I don't think I have ever heard him so excited!
