I hope Michael is right behind Kevin Lee,I still haven't heard from him yet.

I heard from Kevin this morning and he said they had just pulled into port in Okinawa. The next thing he said is he can't wait to set foot on dry land and as soon as he gets back to Sasebo, he is going to get himself a Sasebo burger.... :-)

If any of your sailors make it to Sasebo, tell them to try a "Sasebo Burger". It is some kind of hamburger with everything but the kitchen sink on it! Kevin loves them and if I were 30 years younger I probably would too, but at my age the digestive system won't allow me to! :-)

Cora, tell Brooklyn she is going to love Japan! Too bad she and Kevin aren't going to be closer since they are from the same area.

Like Mike, my son is stationed in Sasebo Japan and is assigned to the USS Tortuga. My son, Kevin, is currently working the Australia Navy during joint operations. Glad to see this group started! I have heard from Kevin very infrequently. I did get a 4 minute call this morning at 5am. He sounded good, but said he is ready to be back on land for some "real food". He said he couldn't go into detail as to where he was or what he was doing, but he seemed to be in good spirits.
