My son got to NY last Saturday for his Prototype training for nuke school. (the last 6 months of his training since starting A school in September of 2009) We'll all be glad when he finishes and goes on his next assignment on a carrier.

My son is underway on the USS Abraham Lincoln CVN 72. In my son's own words "got some good people on the ship to make sure everything rolls smooth"

Heard 3 speeches last Friday. Don't remember much of what was said. Command Master Chief Giberti ended his speech by saying, "hooyah, class 1002" and 350 men and women replied "hooyah" with one voice. The sound filled the outdoor amphitheater and it put the 3 remaining hairs on the back of my neck on end. There is some unity of purpose left in our country and it was encapsulated in that one word. Hooyah!

Heading for Goose Creek this week to see our sailor graduate from Nuclear Power School. Looking forward to eating seafood and and dipping my feet into the Atlantic Ocean for the first time.

We really have to work on growing this group, I"m doing a little advertising for Navy dads at work. Get to see my son for about a week here shortly then he is off to join up with the USS Abraham Lincoln.

Info about Kans meet and greet sent out by Olivia on Navyformoms.

Hello everyone, the Meet & Greet is just right around the corner and I have invited the Topeka Recruiter (Marc Garrett) to come meet with us and he is willing to answer any questions anyone may have and if he doesn't have the answer he will get it for us. Like a Q&A session. So have those questions ready for him. He will be there the first 1 to 1 1/2 hours of our meeting. Can't wait to see everyone again and meet new moms, spouses, grandparents, even new recruits. Please send in your RSVP's so I have an idea how many to expect.
