The RR arrives in home port of San Diego after 219 days at sea and more than 66,000 nautical miles. The Reagan and its carrier strike group arrived in 5th Fleet, where it spent about half of its deployment supporting combat and maritime operations. The air wing flew about 900 combat missions supporting forces and operations in Afghanistan.

USS Ronald Reagan is making a port visit to Honolulu, Hawaii as of yesterday. Welcome back to the good old USA!

Our sailor is home on leave! He's healthy and happy. Haven't seen him in a year. Praise the Lord, our prayers have been answered.

Congratulations KS Dad, quite an accomplishment. My brother-in law just reinlisted and was assigned to the Reagan.

It's been a long road for my sailors nuke training. My son finally got through with his Final Board, a 2.5 hour marathon, and passed it. He also got his first choice of assignment, the Ronald Reagan. Mom and I are relieved and pleased. It's been nothing but school for him since July of 2009 and this kid is not the academic type. Praise Be !!!
