Welcome William. My son is on the USS Harry S. Truman on his first deployment, just got out of A School last month. We are waiting on word about Tiger Cruise also. Having a few challenges getting specific info from FRG since we don't live in VA. Son having challenges getting copy of schedule to mail to us. I have heard that members from either sex can go, just not girlfriends and spouses.

Welcome aboard Randy. Sorry to say I have no expierience yet on the tiger cruise. There are two different types of cruises, Family and Tiger. Family is usually a day out on the ship, Tiger is 2 days or more but usually involves just one family member of the same sex. There is a group here that has some good info.

USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) Strike Group is underway. How fitting that we depart on 9/11. Nine years ago today our nation, our freedom and our security were attacked. 7,000 Lincoln Warriors depart today to right that wrong by forging peace, prosperity and stability throughout the world. In honor of the heroes on U...nited flight 93, thousands of innocent victims and their families, and the firefighters, police and medics who answered the call that day ... 7,000 strong sail west this morning.

Justen is due for shore duty next Spring. He has been looking at advanced schools and shore duty. As of yesterday he is penciled in for O2N2 school in Va. The school is 90 days then he will be on shore duty in Key West Florida. The Key West detachment is actually stationed in Jacksonville Florida. He was born in Jacksonville Florida. He called from the ship and will not be able to talk to use other than online for a week or so. What an exceiting day. Shore duty is coming up quick. How are everyones Sailors/Sons?

We heard from him! We talked via computer for quite some time! He says "the city is like something form a movie".
