Ya know, you can start up a group on N4M, or this one for that matter. I started a Masons group here, and we have 2, count 'em 2 members. Come on, guys, someone must either want to find out about Masons, or tell us what satanist heathens we are.

I found out about n4d on the n4m site. I like this one better, haven't seen a Maryland anything on the n4m's site.

I just heard from my son via email and he's stoked to have just checked onto the GW. He says he has the coolest job ever, which is to take video of the aircraft when they land. He says he can't wait to go to sea.

He loves Japan. He says Yokosuka is the cleanest city he's ever been in, and everyone has been nice so far. He's been snowboarding and to Disney Japan.

I'll tell ya', after hearing from him the few times I have since he left, I am even more glad than before that he joined the Navy. There is nothing better for all that energy a 19 year old has than what he's doing now and will be doing for the next 3 years.

BWI TIMECHANGE:
Due to several flights coming in tomorrow, they have asked us to be there at 2:30 instead of 4:00.

We told them about both sites!

can I ask why you're not telling your recruiters about NavyDads? N4M is sponsored by the US Navy...they know about N4M since the ad agency that is paid by the Navy has advertistments on national TV for the site. Since NavyDads has NO sponsors whatsoever, we've managed to do this all through the efforts of members like you....and a whole lot of work by people like EG, Terry and others....

Steve, I cheat and use my wife's N4M account...its kinda covert, too. LOL We actually had to teach our recruiters about N4Ms and they are now telling the Deppers about it.

Addendum to the below message:

The best parking is on Level 3 of the airport garage. (parking section 3H). Use the crosswalk from Level 3 to cross over to the airport (be careful about traffic). You will enter the airport near the USO Lounge. Once inside the airport, go left towards the International Terminal, and we will meet in the lobby of that terminal.

For those interested in welcoming the troops home at BWI tomorrow, here is some information.

Please plan to arrive at the International Terminal at 4:00 p.m. Park in the HOURLY parking, Level 3 Section H and bring your tickets in for validation. Call the hotline at 410-630-1555 to make sure the arrival times haven't changed. Girl Scouts will be there handing out cookies to the troops and a Cub Scout pack will lead the Pledge of Allegiance before they arrive.

Hope to see you there!

Actually, upon the advise of our recruiter, I joined Navy4Moms. There are a few guys there, with lots of ladies, what could be better? I found out the other day that I have osteoporesis (an old lady disease) and while checking it out, I had to have a CT scan. The radiologist report started out, "Patient is post-hysterectomy." I told my surgeon he's in a heap of trouble over that one, I didn't authorize any of my female parts to go. So together with the bone loss, I guess I'm qualified for Navy4Moms :)

I hope you know I'm joking.
I am on Navy for Moms. Good information and good discussions. Some controversial, but that makes the world go 'round. We all are in the same boat no matter where our politics lie. We got kids serving our country, and supporting them is the most important thing.

We will have a group of parents volunteering at BWI on December 30th to welcome troops home. The report time at the USO is 4:00 pm. Wear you patriotic clothing and bring lots of Kleenex!

Please RSVP if you can make it. Thanks
