My son broke his wrist during MA school. They put him on light duty while it healed. Basically he did light janitorial work. It extended his stay in San Antonio by several weeks, and when he was healed he went back into training. He was very bored during this time and a bit depressed as he saw everyone else moving on, getting to go off the base and getting some freedoms, while he was not allowed to leave. He got through it though. Best of luck to your son.

Doctors took care of hernia. He is now on medical hold until healed. School assignment waiting until medical clearance.
