Congradulation's to all the new pinned Master at Arms and their Families. It was a highlight in my son and my life that we will never forget. Thanks to the Air Force and Navy School Command for good treatment while on base ( Bravo Zulu ). God Bless all our Brave Service Men and Women

Congradulations John ..it must have been a thrill to attend the pinning .. I went to my sailors PIR .. but not the pinning .. my sailor(grandson) is stationed at Norfolk Naval Station.

best of luck to ur sailor... I did go to Norfolk in April n got a grand tour. A worthwhile trip if u can arrange to go.

My son Felix graduated this past friday, my wife got to pin his badge on him. I also was asked to pin the the badge on another young man, along with my daughter pinning a badge on another young man. Of course they were Felix's friends whom their parents were not able to attend. The ceremony was not big, but very well done. I loved the part where they swore to uphold the laws of the Navy. My son is now stationed in VA and is coming home for Christmas on the 19th. We are very proud of our son and i am sure most of ya'll are too. All I can say is that the Navy changed the way my son now thinks of himself and it's a good thing. May God bless each young man or woman in the service and keep a safety net around them.

Thanks for the confirmation. he called tonight to say that he starts his classes after the New Year. He will be able to come home for Christmas and New Years.

My son just got to MAA school and he stated that is on "hold" for starting the program. Is that due to the Christmas/New Year break coming up? Anyone have any other ideas?

hey Chris, that's quite a story. everytime I hear one of these it takes a little out of you. Also reminds me why I finally got out of regular law enforcement and it alsom reminds a person as to how dangerous any type of LE can be.

Chris Rolan,

Thanks for the story. Man ! My heart and prayers go out to this family and everyone involved in this situation. My son graduates A school on Jan 28 2010. And this really hit home for me. We have a lot of family in Montana. They live in Whitefish and are in the law enforcement field. My brother in law is the sheriff of Flathead county/Montana.
All we can do is pray ernestly for all those who have decided to protect & serve.
