Here is a pic of my son, Chris, and his bomb-sniffing dog Cyril. They did a demo in front of the King of Bahrain today.

Clemmis,we went to our sons graduationin April and I got to pin my son after the ceremonie. After it is over they will March back over to the office area. That was neat because it might be the last time they ever haave to march again in the Navy. The surprise for my wife was our son and I were able to keep a secret from her until he got his certfication and that was him getting promoted to chief 3rd class.

Clemmis, I'm driving down for my sons pinning he said he will be getting leave right after the graduation. He will come home with me and Monday morning go to work at the recruiters office for a week then start two weeks leave :) before reporting to his new command in Hawaii. Thank God for all the fine young Men and Women who services this Great Nation of ours.

Thanks Jim Santucci, and yes i am really proud of my son. But I am really looking forward to him paying for dinner. Just joking. i also have a future daughter in law in A school in penscola. They are both looking forward to being station together in VA.

Hey John - great to hear that your son is finding his way in the Navy. It's amazing that they go in as boys and girls and come out as men and women. Best of luck to your son (and his proud dad).

Clemmis, don't be really surprised if for one reason or another she does not get her orders in time to fly back with you. we had Sean's ticket all bought to come home with us when we went to the pinning. He had all of his orders ect and at the last min his travel held up and he ended up not able to fly home until 24 hours after we left. There were about 10 or so that had to wait before they could leave.

My son is telling me, the past few days test after test. I told him to get ready to take more test. As long as he is studying and passing his test, should be no sweat. Does anyone what time graduation is on the 10th of Dec. I am so proud of my son, he is finally doing something on his own. I knew he had it in him, he just had to believe in himself.

I will be there and I have my flight back scheduled for Saturday to make sure Sarah can fly back home with me. I think PIR was cool but the chance to be involved in a smaller personal manner will be better in some ways.

I totally agree with Shane - the pinning ceremony was the memory of a lifetime. I highly recommend it!
