hey guys, My son Sean was in the same MA class as Jim's boy. Sean is currently in Bahrain as part of "mobile Security Force" MSF. He is having a pretty good time, been all over the Gulf and off the coast of Africa. So if anyone is interested in MSF I can pass some info along.

Bill - according to my son (Chris), the best way to get some choice is to get top scores on all exams. Around week 4 or 5 of A School they start placing the MA's into MSF, MWD, etc, and if he's doing well, he'll have some say.

Chris - my son is MWD currently serving in Bahrain. He did very well in A School and so had some choice. I think it was around week 4 or 5 where they find out what they'll be doing and where they'll be going. MWD was another 12 weeks at Lackland.

Bill, Congraduations I know you are very proud. My Son Graduated Oct.1 and left last Wednesday for Lackland AFB His "A" School starts October 18th so it looks like our Sons maybe in the same class. Kris was commissioned MAA of his division 328 in basic and given E-2 because he did good on all of his test and had all 5.0. Was told he maybe get E-3 at the end but that didn't happen. He said it is a piece of cake so far. 4 hours of watch and free the rest of the day. He will graduate "A" School Dec. 3. if all goes well.

Greg: your son is right. A School is about 10-11 weeks. Not sure if he'll get any time off for the holidays. That's not something he'll know until he starts. He'll almost definitely get some time off after his A School training is done. Will you get to attend his PIR?
