Shane - I skyped with Chris earlier today. I asked about your sailor and he told me he was deployed on a submarine. Pretty cool!

Hey Shane. Yes, I heard from him yesterday. He says that he can't be too specific over the phone about their deployments, but he told me that his MSF friends (including his girl friend and Sean) are heading out on deployments. I know what you mean about not being thrilled about their location...

Jim:

Have you heard from Chris? Have not heard from Sean in a couple of weeks now. I know he was headed out on a mission I am not really thrilled as to where he is or we believe he is but not a whole lot you can do about it. Sure been quite around here for awhile.

Jim,

Sounds great I know Sean was really looking forward to Chris getting there.

Chris arrived in Bahrain on Thursday evening. He was very happy to reunite with several of his MA buddies. He gets his dog (a Belgian Malinois) next week, and then has 3 months of qualifications before his first deployment.

Just talked to Sean, finally got a mailing address for him (like pulling teeth) told him we wanted to send him some birthday stuff. He is still trying to figure out the digital camera we sent and how to download and email stuff (he's never has been super computer savvy) but anyway sounds really good and seems to be enjoying himself so far.

No I have no idea about how to Facebook, I am lucky that I can do the skype. I told Sean that Chris would be headed that way in the next couple of weeks and he was thrilled. I know that Sean's sister talks with him time to time on Facebook, I will let him know about the navydads on facebook. I guess his first mission is actually going out on a sub. I think that it's pretty funny that he has been in the Navy since Oct of last year and has yet to set foot on any kind of ship and then he's going out on a sub.

Drop Chris and Sean a line and let them know that we have a page on facebook called navydads also. If they would like to join and inject some enlightenment on their navy travels if they would like. you dad can join also.
