...Today is the last day of my daughter's enlistment. I'm very proud of everything that she has accomplished over the last 4 years!

...Wishing Erik a speedy recovery!

Ed, I'm glad everything went well. Positive thoughts and energy for healing and a quick recovery so he can resume training.

Navy doctors performed surgery on Tuesday, expeditious attention to sailors discomfort.
Thumbs up to the navy for acting quickly once they were made aware of the health issue.

Thanks, Erik is a quick healer from his athletic background, so hopefully just a minor setback

Hi Ed,

If he goes through surgery, he'll probably be put on medical hold until he heals. A hernia is not a career-ending thing. I had one when I was a kid and still served. Although, things have changed. It all depends on how they want to deal with it. IMHO, he developed it while he was in, so they have to deal with it. He graduated boot camp. so he's a sailor. I guess it really depends on what options they offer him.

I hope all goes well for him.

Erik going to Dr today for hernia evaluation.
Any idea what happens if he does or doesn't need surgery. He has not been given a starting date yet for school due to excess sailors.

Hi Ed & Mike. Welcome to the group. I'm with Jim. Operational Security probably states no pictures. I haven't even gotten any from Kasea on one of her boats. I did go to her A School graduation and take some pictures inside the building. But, usually, outside is a no-no. Boot Camp graduation said the same thing, no pictures outside the building. Base security has gotten a lot more secure since I was in (1985-1993).
