hello everyone, Jon's ship os out at sea for 2nd time for shakedown in 2 wks. He will be back on the 3rd or 4th of August.Jon told us when hthey came back off the first trip out that he has gotten 2 commindations from the C/O and he was given his MA book to start studying. We asked him what that ment and he said he would be in San Antonio in 3 to 6 months. He (and us)is very excited about getting into MA school. We are excited about him coming home to Texas. God bless all our boys and girls....

Hello everyone... My son is career Navy. He crossed over from Gunners Mate. He has always wanted to be in law enforcement. He went to college between first and second hitch, got his associates degree, went back in the Navy and crossed over to MA. He is now stationed in Greece.

My son, Justin graduated MAA School this past Friday (July 24, 2009). It seems like a long time since he left for boot camp, but the past 4 months really flew by. He is home for 2-weeks, then off to Bahrain. We are SOOOOO proud of him and he is very excited!

Jons ship has been on fast cruise all week getting ready to go to norfolk from newport news next month and said they would be getting under way in august for a week at a time to get all the bugs worked out of the ship. In december he said they would be going to San Diego for a year, hopefully he will get all of his paperwork done for San Antonio and get to school soon. thanks to all our navy men and women............

I notice there are not many in this MAA group, but that is a small part of the Navy. My son just started A school at Lackland, reported 3June09. Any others with sons or daughters in this class?

Hi Ralph, thanks for the invite.Congrats on your son making MA3.I can see the pride dad has in your comment. My son Jon is still in Norfolk on the USS Carl Vinson and doing great. He went in Undesignated but is getting the paperwork together to get to San Antonio. We talk about once a week and I tell him to get his stuff filled out for himself and get with it. I dont check my mail very much but will try to do better.Hope to catch you on line one day.

Hi, my son called me today and had very good news. He told me he is now a petty officer third class. He also was being a smart ass, and told me I was to adress him as MA3 Gazzillo. I told him Iwas very proud of him, and told him to keep up the good work. He has only been in the navy for less then a year.
