It is distressing Robert, but we need to remember that the Navy does in fact mirror society as it is...just read dadofchris' emotional post about his late son. Whitney will do well Robert....anxious to hear how she does in the OC test!!

First day reference was this week's testing (maritime, port law stuff). Must make 80 to Pass and several didn't get it. Conner says they are hard so tell Whit to "study up when week 5 rolls around. Others got sent back from firing range mostly but the Navy does an excellent job of working with everyone...the hardest part will be "oc" day...tactical pepper spray with individual "take downs"...beware of the REDMAN. (heavily padded person who has to be forced to ground)!! Go Whitney!!!

David,
Conner has had a blast in SanAn...only real difficult part was "OC" day. He has fallen in love with the M60...of course I'm jealous! He just finished his "exams", tell your sailor to study! Conner lost 3 in his squad first day.

Hi! My son leaves for Boot Camp on Sunday, and then he's scheduled to go to San Antonio for Master at Arms A School. What's that like?

Today Conner gets his OC and he's actually excited...he was always just a bit strange!!! Told him Raff Jr's advice to keep eyes open. Will have to see how he enjoys that...

Sorry guys been very busy, Josh was here for 2 weeks we hunted for a week then came home to spend time with his mom. He leaves Friday at 11:30 back to ROK.We had rotten luck hunting we saw over a hundred elk and only one bull josh had a shot but got overly excited and pulled the shot and missed! (he's never gonna live that down) expert marksman that he is. But all in all we had a lot of fun and got to catch on everything. Well gotta go cya
