Todd - John is at A school but delayed by holidays. He started the week before Christmas with an awesome PT test - 87 pu, 110 curl ups and low 10s on his run. Unfortunately later that day they informed him that 7 guys in the class before him failed the OC spray and were recycled to his class - he and six others were then bumped and would have to re start after the holidays. The good news is that three of his buddies from boot camp volunteered to stay back with him so they are still all together.

He Everyone! Sorry I have been absent. I will try to be more active. A belated Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year! May 2015 be a more exciting and eventful year (in a positive way) for our kids!!!.

Rob, congratulations on John making it. He should be well into A School by now. Has he been through OC Day? It sucks, but is survivable.  :-)

Michael, Sorry about your mom. I lost both my parents some time ago. Just remember the good times.

Kasea is doing well. We were able to go up for Christmas. Had a good time. She is on Harbor Patrol. The hours are crazy, but it is a Marine command. I told her not to judge the Navy by that command. She advanced to MA3 (academically from A School). She and her husband are doing well. Between her work hours and cycling she was wearing herself out. She's getting better about resting when she needs to. Cant keep that kid down. I'll post pictures.

Thanks guys.  I spent 6 years in Texas (Copperas Cove and Stephenville) - definitely warmer than Iowa!   Was about 8 degrees here last night.  Better BBQ too.
