Interesting! I had not heard that yet! I always wondered if they kept cycling classes for MWD and or just did them during certain times of the year!

Thanks.....The only thing i know from him so far is that MWD is out..they are not accepting anyone at this time is what he was told...we will just have to wait and see.

Welcome Shaun!

BZ to your son on his graduation. He will be there for 8 weeks. There is standard MA, MWD = Military Working Dogs, PRD = Guarding Nuclear Facilities, and the 3rd I believe is called Expeditionary? The last one varies on what they actually do. I know one of the things involves SEAL extraction. My daughter went MWD. She loves it! I know there are dads on here with kids in each of these specialties that can tell you more.

I went to my son' MA graduation. It was outstanding. They also had a tribute to the men and women who lost their lives in the attack on Pearl Harbor, it was deeply moving. If you Navy MA Dad's can afford to go to this graduation ceremony, go! It was very personal and the staff was excellent, and they really did appreciate the families that can and do attend the ceremony. It was well done!

Happy Thanksgiving to all, can't wait till this coming Thursday, when I leave for San Antonio to see my son's MA graduation from "A" school next friday. After that, he's next duty station, Bahrain.

Thanks Tom.  Same to you and your family.  And thanks to all our sailors out there protecting our freedom.  May they be safe and all come home soon.
