Such a tragedy. It is such a hard thing to hear about. A brave young man who is doing all the right things to make his life, and the lives of others, better.

Fair Winds Philip!

Just read about Philip. We will be praying for his family. Our son is home right now on leave and goes back soon. Can't imagine what they are going thru.

My son Chris became good friends with Philip. Philip actually encouraged and prodded my son to get his coxwain quals last year.

Fair winds Philip. As his MA buddies have said, we got the next watch.

Just heard that MA2 Philip Bordeaux was killed in a car accident in Naples, Italy.  I didn't know him but learned of it through a friend of my daughter's in Souda Bay.  Please keep his family in your prayers as I can't imagine how difficult this must be for them.  https://www.facebook.com/inmemoryofphilipbordeaux

It is a hard thing to let go. Especially when you have worked so hard to guide them for so long. Until they become parents themselves, they have no idea what we go through for them.

I hear you my MA has been in japan for 17 months only saw him after a school for 15 days out of 2 years

My MA left for his 1st duty station aboard the USS George H.W. Bush in Norfolk, VA this morning.  I'm gonna miss him so much until I can see him again.
