Oohrah!
Ray - Thanks I will pass that on to her. She has worked really hard for this. She was one of two in her class to qualify. It has given her a confidence boost.
Tom - I know she has great memories of her time on board the Swift. I am sure she will be ready when the time comes!
Her tour on the Swift is over and she is back on base. She won't be deploying again until next year if all goes according to plan. I'm not sure how the transition is going to work...
Congrats in advance on her graduation. A couple of Chris' buddies went through MWD. The Navy only takes top shelf for that assignment.
That's awesome! I am glad to hear that he is doing so well.
Devin graduates MWD next week and then she is off to her base in Washington State. She is anxious to get there. She will be in 8 months soon and all of it has been training.
It is Michael, but I know he's been trained well, and he was so excited to head off and he's very engaged and stimulated. At least I get to chat with him via Facebook; and he's being quartered in pretty fancy digs for these first 45 days! I plan on a lot of acupuncture and meditation/prayer to get my beauty sleep this next year. He's over there as an MA2, so he's done himself and us proud with his stellar evals and regular promotions.
I know that is nerve wracking for you Ray. You are proud but also worried. He will come out on the other side just fine!!
My son Chris is in Bahrain right now in RIVRON 2. He just received his team assignment and destination, which of course he could not discuss with me. He had been in Norfolk for the previous 26 months before this deployment.
Does she have to wait until the merger is complete before transferring? Is she still on the Swift?
