Jon - Yes, it's been an experience we didn't expect.  What an emotional roller coaster of uncontrollable feelings.  I'm glad it's almost over or does it continue after basic...LOL  MA "A" school is only 7 weeks long?  I would think it would be more than that.  Civillian police academy is a lot longer than that.  I've told my sailor to make sure he studies hard and doesn't fool around so he can get the best pick for where he will go after "A" school.  He said I know dad.  :>)

Congrats Mike!  It's been a crazy few months for us and today was the culmination of it all.  Enjoy the PIR and I look forward to hearing about it all.  Can't stress enough how important it is for your sailor to focus and work hard for the 7 weeks of MA training... it'll be worth it when it's time to pick orders and graduate.

Tom - Thanks for explaining all the abbreviations.

Jon - Nice picture of the girls and proud papa's.  BZ to both of them.  I go the call today.  My SR is now a Sailor.  I can't wait to see him next Friday for PIR.  I also got a letter from him when I got home from work.  Shed a few tears reading it.  They were happy tears though.  I can;t believe how emotional this experience has been.

So proud of Devin and Joelle!  Both graduated today, both did exceptionally well.  Congrats to Devin for being accepted to the MWD program and to Joelle for being recognized as a Distinguished Graduate!
