My son Chris is done with ECS and is now heading back to Virginia as we speak, the place about which he complained on and off during the last two years, but about which he said he was homesick a month ago!...Oh to be 22 again, not!

Thanks Tom for the link. I talked with Nick yesterday evening, and told him to check it out as well. He said they spent the day breaking-down and reassembling the M16 and get to qualify today. 200 yards at standing, prone, and kneeling. Sounds like fun to me Ha!

I watched this video last week, it's educational and helps with some of the anxieties.

Hey Guys ~ I haven't been here in awhile but was wondering if anyone had a son or daughter at Souda Bay, Greece.  My daughter is graduating MA school with Michael Baione's daughter and will be headed that direction.

I wish he had gone construction or intel, but this is what he wanted, and he's happy and progressing. I might be living on Tums and Ambien for the year he's deployed out of Bahrain...

My son Chris is finishing up down at ECS in Gulfport this week, and heading back to Virginia after Friday.

I was checking out the videos on YouTube. A lot of shooting, and other combat/conflict scenario training.

...If Nick is going PRP, I don't think that he will have to do any of this...but he can pursue it as a future MOS...

Hi Tony....She went to ECS (Gulfport,Miss) right after A School (after she got her MSRON orders)....and before going to her Command. You can see it on Youtube It consisted of a great deal of firearms training....land navigation....and first aid training. There was no wait for classup. SRFA training in Connecticut was an advanced Security School....Urban warefare...clearing buildings, retaking hostage targets, planning a mission and leading a team to accomplish the set goals. She loved that...and had the bruises to prove it! She was sent from her MSRON Command. There are MSRON Teams on the East/West Coast. If your son wants to see the world, this is the set of orders to shoot for. It is not for everyone... and the training can be pretty hard. The Riverines are merging with MSRON....thus RIVRON. They do an awful lot that they can't talk about...and I probably don't want to know...Check out some of the Youtube videos to get an idea

Hi Tom L, I saw your post about your daughter doing Expeditionary Combat School (ECS) How did she like that? How long did she have to wait before going through that school? Also what is SRFA school? I want to send Nick some info. on both RIVRON, Coastal RIVRON. Thanks
