Jay, just got word he will be home on Saturday thru the 26th. Then back to Texas and off to his post. I hope you have a great Christmas with Amber and wish her all the best with her posting as well. Looks like she handled the setback with the dogs well and is moving on.
Jay, I got a text from Jason last night, he had taken his last test. 3 days unitl graduation. He received his orders but not his plane ticket.
Did Amber get her orders as well?
Jay, I heard from you before my son on how he did. I think his time was a little over 10 minutes for the run. I could tell talking with him he was stressing about all the testing this week. Still no word on when he will come home. At this point if he is delayed that means he will be home for Christmas.
Mike, Jason looked a little for Daniel. Sorry they did not hook up just to talk. Good luck to Daniel, and I hope he gets the posting he is looking for.
Hi Jeff and Jay, Yes Daniel did get his Tech on Friday. I am now able to contact him. I believe he started class today. Three days left for you both, that is great - wont be long now. I appreciate then trying to find Daniel but at this point they need to focus on finishing up strong. Daniel will be okay he will figure it all out. Good luck to your Sailors, I am sure they will do very well in their careers (where ever they take them). Thank you.
Sorry to miss updating since Friday.
Jeff R. Congrats to Jason on beating Amber on the final Comp test today. They also did their final PRT this morning. She Posted amazing results to me considering what she could do when she left for basic. 12m39s on run 91 Sit-ups and 39 pushups.3 days and a wake-up till Graduation and 4 days and a wake-up till she is home on leave. A lot to do when she gets home, celebrate her birthday and Christmas. Jeff you and your family anxious yet like we are.
Mike, still no luck locating your son.How is he doing? Are you hearing from him on a regular basis now. Is he ready for class to start?
Mike, no problem. Having fun doing it. Amber is getting a kick out of it. Jeff is west coast and i'm east coast so i have to scratch my head to figure out when to text and call. I do have fun sending a REVEILLE, REVEILLE everymorning to make sure she is awake.
Jeff ,amber didn't tell me about simulations yesterday ,just sapr discussions with folks from the Pentagon. She did tell me of one sim several days ago she was a part of. Had to play the MA but they couldn't locate the training gun for her.
Mike Hoover, No problem. I'm glad you got the text from him and the address. Not sure where you live, we are west coast so it worked I would text him after I got off work so he was done with his classes.
Good luck to Daniel, I just asked Jason to look for him again. I know this week was a rough one for his class, they did more simulations. According to Jason, on the last session he was shot and pepper sprayed if the situation was real.
Jay and Jeff you guys (and Jason and Amber) you all are the best. I can only imagine how surprised Daniel will be if he gets the pleasure to speak to/learn from either of your Saliors. Update: On Wednesday I recieved a text out of the blue providing the address to send his electronics - but he did ask me not to reply to the text ( I assume someone allowed him to borrow their phone to send the text). His address has Truemper St/holding (however that is probably the post office address) - so I think he is still classing up. He should receive his electronics today. If I hear from him I will ask him his housing unit. Please tell your Sailor's two things. First - a Huge congratulations on both their close graduation and excellent class ranking. Second- I VERY MUCH appreciate them spending any of their time trying to locate Daniel to give him some advice/pointers. Just their willigness to try to find him speaks VOLUMES of their character. And from one Dad to another - I can't tell you how much I appreciate the effort both of you have put into trying to coordinate this meeting. THANK YOU. I promise if placed in the same position - I will pay your kind gestures forward.
Jay O, Still do not have an exact date on their return, just have to learn the navy way, hurry up and wait. I think he's excited but I know they had a monster day on Thursday and he was worried about it when I talked with him Wednesday. Badges, one of my favorite lines. They will never make them like that again.
Mike, I spoke with Jason to see if he could find Daniel as well as Amber. I don't know the housing arangements so they may not be anywhere near each other. Hopefully you have heard from him and he was able to get his electronics.
Jeff R. 7 days and a wakeup and our kids will graduate and get their badges(from the movies "we don't need no stinking badges"). Jeff is Jason getting anxious yet.
Mike, Amber has friends helping her try to locate Daniel so she can give him the lowdown on school. She is so looking forward to come home for a couple of weeks before reporting to her next command.
