Jay,  He is doing very well, Thans for asking.  Jason did not enjoy the OC spray this week, and he also is looking forward to the weapons firing.  I believe he got a 96 on his last test, and is studying hard to get ready for the next ones. He has taken this adjustment very well.  My wife and I can not believe how grow up he sounds.  I just texted him to see if he knows your daughter.  I'm not sure how big the class is.

Jeff R. how is your son doing in MA school. Amber is now 2.5 weeks in. I don't think she liked OC SPRAY BUT IS LOOKING FORWARD TO WEAPONS FIRING COMING UP.

you are right. Being former Navy our motto was " Semper Gumby"

always flexible. Fortunately for me I knew I would only have a few hours to be with her. She tried to get me to meet her at Midway airport after midnight just to give her her phone. 45 miles and $5.00/hr parking, I don't think so.

Jay,  I agree.  My son has to adjust from getting ready for rescue swimmer school to Master at Arms.  I believe he signed up for MSF, will need to confirm from him.  We got a message with an address so I could send his phone and computer, so he can become somewhat back into the world.  We were a little surprised when he was slated to stay in Chicago for 3 months to 8 hours.  This is the Navy, we learn to be flexible.

My daughter graduated boot 12Oct12 and arrived at Lackland AFB on Saturday also. According to her she should start MA training next week. It is going to be interesting to see all the training she will go through. It does have to be more comfortable in texas than in chicago.

We know that all to well. I'm looking forward to getting more information as the days go by.  I think he signed up for mobile  Special forces. His test scores were some of the highest in the division and their division 822 made the hall of fame at basic

Jeff....could be a multitude of assignments. A friend just graduated A School and was given her orders....no choice involved. Usually the graduates are given a choice of assignments based upon performance throughout A School....the " needs of the Navy" come first, however...He will like San Antonio....!

My son just graduated Friday (10-12-12) from basic.  His original contract was for rescue swimmer, they changed him over to MA.  Just starting to look into what he is in for.

Congrats Ray! My son (Sean) just finished his two years out of Bahrain. He liked it okay although he is very happy to be back stateside. He very rarely was actually in Bahrain, they kept his team out a lot.  It was not until the last couple of months did they actually spend time in Bahrain. He did get to see some incredible parts of the world however. 2 years was a really long time over there.

Congrats Ray! Shane Snyder's son, Sean, is MSF in Bahrain, although his tour there may be done.  From what Shane describes, the "mobile" in MSF definitely means mobile.  Sean traveled all over and really didn't spend much time in Bahrain.
