Ray....I don't envy those poor souls in the midst of a Chicago Winter!

Caitlin graduated in October and the weather was unseasonably warm...almost 80* that day!

Thanks Tom L, a week later!

I've been following the PIRs the last couple of weeks, because my son's  PIR was a year ago last Saturday, and I was curious to see how the weather compared and what the experiences were.

....and a Happy and healthy New Year to you, sir!

A belated happy new year to my fellow MA Dads. How's everyone doing? Wild to think that tomorrow is the year anniversary of my MA's PIR from RTC. Both a fast and slow passing year.

Chris - I live Seattle, just a short Ferry ride away from Bremerton.  I know that your son has lots of support, but please don't hesitate to let me know if he ever needs anything.

Merry Christmas to all my fellow MA dads, and a happy New Year. Chris can't come home this holiday season, but I got to spend some quality time this weekend. He even took the opportunity to teach me how to shoot at Bob's in Norfolk yesterday. And, as a lefty who is right eye dominant, I had to shoot with my right hand, or not shoot at all. Took me a few rounds to get that straight, but my son demonstrated some mighty fancy shooting during his rounds.

Congratulations Jeff on your son's recent mission, and awesome to have him home for Christmas!

Very happy to have my MA home for Christmas.  He and his MWD just completed a mission protecting the Vice-President!  Best wishes to all of you this holiday season!

I think Chris told me he could take it again in March. I told Chris that life isn't a straight line. He had such good progress to this point, sometimes you need a reminder of that. His buds in the reserve made rate, but it's a different pool, and sometimes different sailor quality from which to draw. I think there were quite a few from the most recent test who were PNA like he is now, who took advantage of the second go round. At least he's stopped talking and thinking of the proposed MA force reductions this past fall, now that the deadline passed five weeks ago. Just gotta put your head down and keep plowing forward.
