Comment by Michael Baione on December 2, 2014 at 9:43am: LOL...I hear you on all that. We live in Austin TX which is a little over an Hour or so from Lackland. We got to see my daughter quite a bit. It is actually pretty chilly today. I am guessing that we are still warmer than where you are at.

It will really mean a lot to him that you are there for his graduation! If you have any questions about PIR or MA school, please ask any of us for help. We have a lot of helpful info. We have all been there!

We were actually hoping to spend Christmas in San Antonio - that way he doesnt have to burn leave he hasnt yet accrued and we get to be warm! But if they make him take leave that would probably mess that up.

I would think that they would let him being the Holidays and all, I just didn't want to get hopes up. you never know with the military sometimes!! lol Are you going to be there for Graduation or be able to visit him in San Antonio?

He said a couple Petty Officers there told him they will likely make him take leave over the holidays. I guess we will just wait and see what they tell him when he gets there.

Comment by Michael Baione on December 1, 2014 at 5:58pm: Hi Rob, More than likely they will wait to start the class. This happens even when it isn't Holiday season. If class isn't full by the time he gets there they will wait for it to be full. Not sure if he will be allowed leave though.

Does anyone know if they will start a class and then break for the holidays or just have the guys wait until after the first to begin? I am told they dont run A schools over the traditional 10 day period around Christmas and New Years. Thanks
