Hello...We are in Hattiesburg MS. And yes we hear #20 every day. My son is in Boot Camp right now and we are so proud. Div 189 Ship 10.

1.You can properly pronounce Kosciusko, Ackerman, and Belzoni.


2. You think people who complain about the
heat in their states are sissies.


3. A tornado warning siren is your signal to
go out in the yard and look for a funnel.


4. You know that the true value of a parking
space is not determined by the distance to the
door, but by the availability of shade.


5. Stores don't have bags or shopping carts,
they have sacks and buggies.


6. You've seen people wear overalls at

7. You think everyone from a bigger city has

Welcome Lori, I'm in Brandon,Ms about three hours from your son. It has been lonely here in this group. My son Evan is close to 10 months in and is stationed in San Diego,Ca. From my experience, my son has had his ups and downs throughout his short career in the Navy but is loving it. I'm glad to have you in here with me. Talk to you soon.

Hello Mississippi Navy parents!! Hope everyone is doing well today. I just thought that I'd like to be the first one to post anything on here since I have never been the first one to post anywhere. My son is currently in A school in Gulfport and I am so very proud of him! He has come a long way from the shy little kid he used to be. He is still shy and quiet but I saw much more confidence in him at his PIR. My baby is well on his way to becoming a man and I couldn't be prouder! Even though I was really apprehensive about his joining, I think it has been a really good experience for him so far. I just hope that it continues to be so. If any of you have advice for me about the months ahead, please feel free to send me messages or leave comments on my page. Thank you in advance. Have a wonderful day!
