Good book just released on 24 February called "Naval Station Norfolk (Images of America)". Authored by the Hampton Roads Navy Historical Foundation, great historical perspective of NSN with many pictures.

I hear that the base had an interesting time with the snow and ice last week.

Timothy Conway I will tell her to say hello to AO3 Ben.  She has been to visit the squadron and met her sponsor and may have met already.

Chuck, did I understand your profile correctly and your daughter is an AO? If so, have her tell my son hello when she gets to the squadron. I’ll give him a heads up that she'll be joining them. She's going to a good squadron, I've had the pleasure of meeting some of them, all good people as far as I can tell.

My daughter just arrived on board NAS Oceana for C school and then the Blue Blasters.

I've lived in Virginia Beach since 1981.  If anyone needs gouge  on the Tidewater area, I'd be happy to offer whatever information I can.  My son has been active duty since January 2006.
