I have not seen a schedule yet but since they are not having winter classes anymore I would think it will be next year before Coronado opens up for more classes. I will check and see if I can get more info on this.

Please let your son know that my wife and I are Proud of his decision to join the Military and start this long and hard road. It is not easy on the guys or the parents. If you have any question or concerns please let us know we might be able to help or find help for you. Just be very careful what you post since this is a open Discussion and anyone around the world can read it and their are people who would like to do us harm that read and try to get info from sites like this. You may want to send a Friends Request to people you want to talk to so it will be private and on open to the public.
My son was Div 820! Send me a private message and we'll talk.
Hey G273! How's your grandson?
OK, I think. Don't know where he is and have not heard from him in awhile. Probably will never know where he went and can only imagine what he is doing.
DIV824 (PIR 11/5)... too early to ask? I heard 288 in Feb/Mar?
I heard 288 as well. G273 - I'll keep him in my prayers.
Still learning how to nav around on ND web site.
Talked to my boy, he's started indoc, they're working him hard.

Any advice?
just talked to the boy, he thinks new class forms in Jan 2011.
Bubblehead, regardless of how good or bad or how up or down he gets be sure and be positive. Be careful when asking question, for whatever reason (friend dropped or did bad, he had a bad day) he may not want to talk about it till he can process the information. This is normal but may not seem normal to us because they have always been very open. Between being tired, cold, having friend do bad or he did bad, it will take him longer to process. My GS was having a problem with a evolution and I gave him a suggestion and he told me he could do it on his own and did not need help, this was not like him. You have to remember if he is in the sandbox and a problem comes up he may not have anyone to get advise from and he is on his own. What he is doing will call for life or death decisions and some of those decisions will have to be made by him. As training get further along he will probably be quieter and give less info to the outside world and we are the outside world to him. One slip of the tongue or someone repeating something said or over hearing something said could cause trouble. I had not served in the Military and this was all new to me and I am still not use to it. For me I am trying to get use to not knowing where he is and can only imagine what he is doing. I have to remember No News is Good News.
Excellent words G273! Thank you!

May GOD bless all those that have made this choice for their lives. May HE provide the strength they need to follow through and the determination to succeed. May HE grant their loved ones the peace of knowing that HE is watching over them, guiding their every step along the way. ~Amen.

SEMPER FORTIS!
G273, You are a Class Act! We're all glad you're in our group!

I'm totally there for my boy and appreciate any and all advice, for him and me
T. knows I'm with him. He knows its like nothing in his experience, that he's in the black and white world of doing or dying. He got his head on straight and is determined to get through and bring everyone in his class with him.
When he told me he enlisted, I told him he was going to meet a lot of great people. I also told him that they held each others lives in their hands, which tends to make you a bit choosy about how others do their job. On subs, if you screwed up, everyone died.
I never sugarcoated this decision he made. I told him he'd be with the hardest bunch of guys in the world and they'd give him the chance to join, but he'd have to earn the right.
OK, that enough from me.
