My son got rolled from 287 to 289.  288 was full.  We may be driving his car to him next week 2300 miles across country.  I think 289 starts B.O. in early May.

289 here as well.
In Coronado?
He is still in Chicago in prep school.
Best of luck to your boy Dan and his new class. My son was rolled into 287 so I know how that wait can be. Stay positive and see him through it. He will succeed no doubt !
Thanks Tony, we expect to see him Friday and enjoy the weekend with him.  Have you ever been to Coronado?

Not yet Dan...Just Chicago after boot was finished. My wife and I are looking to go out soon and I'm seeing some Parents heading out the end of this month. My son just asked me Sunday if/when I was going to come out so I'm checking the flights now.

I'm trying to get a grasp on the best time to go out and see him so it's still in the works. Best of luck in your travels Dan and let us know how your son is doing.

Got back from Coronado Tues.  Mechanical problems with the plane turned a one day flight into two.  If you can p.m . or friend me I'll be glad to exchange information.

guys,

My son is just about to start first phase (288), I'd be happy to learn anything you might wish to share. I too an happy to pm or friend to exchange info.

I guess you know they move across the road to be near the beach, grinder, etc.  It seems to me the most important traits are determination and the ability to tolerate or ignore being cold.  My son told me about swimming with 288 a couple of weeks ago on their first bay swim (he's a roll from 287 to 289 and had made it to the Friday before hell week).  After they got through he noticed one guy shivering violently and remarking on how cold it was.  Having been much colder the previous two months he thought to himself that this guy was in for trouble.
When are you going? we may doing the same.
We left Monday, March 14 and arrived that Thursday.  We spent the weekend with him and flew back Monday the 21st.  I highly recommend going if you get the chance.
