I'm not sure what the ref was watching on that last TD that would have won it for Navy. The player had definite possession of the pass and had taken 2 steps. The ball popped out of his hands after he hit the ground in the end zone. Oh well, adversity builds character.

Jim, Would be cool to tailgate  ND game. Mixed emotions for me though as a ND fan but two of my favorite teams at one place!

Bummer...

Not sure what the final outcome would have been, but the penalty  in overtime was not justified.  These are service academy games and a lot of emotion is involved with them.  As is generally the case, the penalty is called on the responder, not the original offender, so we really don't know why it was called, or what may have lead Proctor to respond as he did.  But, unless a brawl breaks out, let these players (especially from the service academies) compete in the heat of the moment.  It was a great comeback for Navy none the less.  The schedule doesn't get any easier either.  GO NAVY!  BEAT ARMY!

All things considered, Navy showed themselves well.  At this point in the season, South Carolina is a very good team.  I loved listening to all the commentators on all the channels talk about how teams just hate to play Navy.  HaHa...too bad for the teams who play them.  Go Navy!!
