Blondie.....I know you are right....but I just can't stop thinking about how I felt missing a call when my ex was in the Persian Gulf in the 80's. We do have rules for a reason....but I honestly think some provision could have been made ahead of time.....not sure if she had the foresight to talk to management ahead of time. a no win/ no win.....

Mixed feeling on this subject.  I too must shut my phone off at work and so does my husband. is it hard, He!! yes, but it's the rules.  we can't say the rules only aply sometimes or for some people. The upside, is I have her messages on voice mail, that I listen to over and over again. But is it fair that this company bend the rules and the rest of us still has to turn our phones off?  do you speed or run a stop sign becaue there is no police around?  no rules are rules!  She should have never had her phone on her or turned on if that was the policy.  sorry, I lived this for 2 years while my daughter was in the Middle East also. but life is hard, I remember Nam and this is a walk in the Park.

Cora - Navy Moms coming out strong in support of Teresa!!

I posted on Navy 4 Moms, Facebook, Twitter and emailed friends.

You can email your thoughts to the HR Director who cam down on her at LarryO@crane-interiors.com  I did and I'm going to keep on making noise!!!

I recently asked N4M to remove CafePress from the site. They were allowing the sale of Battered Women items....Battered Women Taste Better, etc....no removal....but I did get an email from Cafe Press saying they would remove it....but they were back up, so hopefully they are back down now.

Well Justen is out to sea and waiting for the command to finish the paper work for his shore duty orders. He is suppose to be in RI by May. That was part of the re enlistment deal.  He has reequested 30 days leave and has a month long school so they are cutting things close. I am just waiting to not have to worry about OPSEC and such. Did have a long talk with an offical navy spoksperson. Found out I was right you can speak of articles and locations that have been released by the Navy. People are so upset by artilces printed in the news and these are alright when they have been released by the Navy. Just saying... They released the departure of the Reagan 3 days before they left and then told what they were doing and about how long they would be gone.

You all have many great suggestions, however, do not give up on Snail mail for it is nice to be handed a real letter and to see you mom/dad's hand witting in hand. Too, you can tuck it away and re read it over and over.  Too, no one like to experience the black hole effect (empty mail box).

Thanks Blondie...I'm just one of those people who need to know why...lol. Lynch is much more adaptable which will be in his favor. He also came into this with some experience in his field and a great attitude.  As a mom I can also add that he is handsome, has a warm smile and is a very social young man who likes the formality of the Navy. But, that IS a mom speaking....what they find important may be something completely different than I see. :)
