Hey to everyone. Christmas and new years were very busy here. Sailor is back on the Reagan. I went back to work and have worked the last three nights. Today and tomorrow I am off and switching to 2nd shift for Wed, Thurs and Friday. Then off next weekend. It was so great to have my son the sailor home. He is waiting for his CMC interview to get done then should hear back about the Shore Duty orders. Still looking good for Newport RI teaching at OCS.

So great to know that Blondie is back safe. Waiting to see the pictures and hear the many adventures of their Holidays.

Merry christmas from Japan!  Sailor is at work and we are heading out soon  to start cooking just wanted to give a short update.

yesterday we took a 6 hour tour of base and actually was granted permission to board the US Blue Ridge! Even got to eat in the galley!  was told that is unheard off, but we have pull, LOL  will print pictures as soon as I can, sailor is working through mon. night she works 5-7:30 so we meet her at base just to spend more time together LOL  on the train!  God's blessing upon all our military families and His protection to our Sailors!

thanks James, we are learning something every min. and loving our time here with sailors.  Met quit a few last night and got plenty and gave plenty of Hugs for all our N4M's and Navy Dad's. We Can exchange money, make purchases, ride the trains and say all the polite words!  thank you, sorry, excuse me......Love the open markets and  all the fresh food!  looks like all they do is eat and take care of their hair, LOL and ride the trains!  Babies, childrena dn culture are Wonderful.  our daughter left for work at 4:30 am so some of her ship friends are meeting us at base @11:30 Sushi! then  sight seeing and preparing for tomorrows Christmas dinner. Meeting daughter at ship at 8:30 and since it was declassified for the dry dock and they are on holiday schedule will get to tour it!  all except where she works of course. LOL  midnight Mass so will have to take taxi home or find a ride, so will wish you all a very Merry Christmas and will check back on Christmas Morning when sailor leaves for work again.  Until then, stay safe and remember the reason for the Season.

sorry wanted to give you a picture of Santa bowing to Baby Jesus but realized I'm  on sailor's  computor and can't asses my pictures.

Blondie:  We are glad you have landed and are safe and having fun.  Yes, we are  looking fw to hearing more about your adventures. Please post photos if you can!

In the mean time, I would like wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Great White North.

Yes, it is cold up here  and after yesterday our days will be getting longer by the seconds (Att we have only <5 hrs of daylight). However, if I can get through the next 2.5 months (Yahoo!!!), spring break here I come for it will be  time to head south (12 hr flight)  to see my corpsman and enjoy the sun shine.

Take care and keep warm..

Hi all, we made it! very long trip, both flights were delayed (weather), once we made it to Tokyo 15 other flights were trying to check through imagration and customs Sooo glad we had no check baggage. LOL finally got that HUG! we had to ride a train, the metro and the bullet train all during rush hour all i can say is WOW remember I come from small town ohio. arrived at daughters house after traveling for 27 hours not counting the time difference (14 hours) we slept for about 40 mins. on plane. we dropped our bags, went out to eat and came home showered and went to bed. I only slept 3 hours (my norm). writing in my journal and learning some of their language. catching up with daughter. went to a mini- mart, 7/11, McDonald's and a mall so far and it's only 2:00. doing laundry now, going to base and then out to supper with a bunch of sailors in a few hours. wanted to let you all know we made it okay. no time to catch up if anything important, or prayers needed please send me a PM. daughter works tomorrow and now i know how to use her internet, so will try to catch up tomorrow. Hugs from sailor
