Cora, I feel your pain for my mom (She has yet come up to visit me and I have been in AK for 23 yrs) is also afraid to fly but when you live up here in the Great White North flying is the only way to go other wise one is land locked and the idea of real fishing would be a dream or for many flying is one's only option to work (To the Slope; When my last one is off on his own; hi ho off to the Slope I go so I can work 2on/2off and vacation and live down south). Infact our kids probally fly more than most and begin early that is due to all events and family are located in the lower 48. Will say the key is to wear confortable clothing, bring reading material and stay up all night before your flight then you will sleep. Myself, flying to Seattle is the worse stretch but after that it is a breeze. Hang in there, in the mean time you will learn and be able to see the world...

I had a time on our flight from Elmira NY to San Diego Ca. had to wear a patch. and took anti anxiety med. Made it and was better on the way home. I think the security checks were the worst parts. Maybe some day you will be able to go. I thought we could never afford to go to Ca. I found tickets for two of us for $572 altogether. Then our luggage was $50 each way. So we did OK. I had to work over time to have the money but did it and now they won't let me stop wprking overtime. I have to look for a new job. 96 to over 100 hours every two weeks is to much for an old lady. Hope you get a chance to go some day. You will have a ball. It is so much fun. The sailors love showing off their parents. Meeting all the friends they talk about is great.

great pictures thanks! i can't afford it either, but been saving for 2 years and sailor is letting us stay at her house, saves alot! I'm not crazy about flying, Japan or People (crouds), airports etc... or learning Japeneese but I'll do anything for my daughter! LOL

I have been following her ship of and on. Helps me learn history I have missed. Hope you have fun planning. we had things changed by command as far as re enlistment once we were there. Sort of made it hard but Navy breeds flexible families.

I figure when i get back, I'll just keep trying lol I know, just changed the calender again! can't wait to get going, but then again, need more time to save money. LOL my sailor is out on deployment, that's why we had to get everything planned so early. Can't wait to have her all to myself! (well and hubby).

I don't remember that it was a special program. I just remeber thinking this is to easy. I am not really good with computers but am better than I was before college. We will be waiting for pictures. Long time off right now but will sneak up on you in no time. That is what happened with our trip to Ca. You take care and enjoy planning your trip. Your daughter will be so busy planning too. I can't forget how special it was and I just went to Ca.

Crystal, Yes, that's what I plan on doing then can I just put the disc in the computor and download? do I have to have a special program on the computor?
